Privacy policy

LearnPest provides state-approved continuing education for licensed pest control operators and applicators. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run the platform and report your course completions to your state agency, we never sell your data, and we delete your account on request.

Information we collect

Account details — your name, email address, phone number, and state.
License details — your license number, license type, issuing state, and expiration date. This is what lets us report your continuing education credits correctly.
Company affiliation — if your employer manages your training through LearnPest, we record which company and branch you belong to.
Study activity — course progress, time spent in each section, quiz and exam attempts, scores, and completion dates. State agencies require accurate seat-time and assessment records, so we keep these faithfully.
Certificates — the certificates we issue when you complete a course, including the certificate number and the state-assigned course number.
Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep order records (what you bought, when, and for how much).
Support communications — messages you send us through the contact form or by email.

How we use it

To deliver courses, track progress, and issue certificates.
To report your completions and continuing education credits to the state regulatory agency that approves your license — this is the core purpose of the product.
To process purchases and subscriptions.
To send transactional email (receipts, certificates, license and renewal reminders). We do not send marketing email without your consent.
To respond to support requests.
To understand how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.

Who we share it with

State regulatory agencies — when you complete an approved course, we report your name, license number, the course, credit hours, the completion date, and certificate details to the relevant agency, as required for your credits to count.
Your employer — if your company manages your training on LearnPest, its administrators can see your enrollment status, progress, completions, and certificates.
Service providers — we use Stripe for payments, Google Cloud for hosting, and an email delivery provider for transactional email. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Scout — if your subscription includes access to Scout, our exam-prep product, clicking through from your dashboard shares your basic account identity with Scout so you land signed in.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie that remembers which state’s pages to show you, a cookie that records your cookie-banner choice, and — if you accept — analytics cookies that help us understand site usage. You can decline analytics cookies in the banner without affecting your account.

How long we keep it

Completion records and certificates are retained for as long as state recordkeeping rules require — agencies can audit continuing education years after the fact, and your certificates need to stay retrievable. Other account data is kept while your account is active.

Your choices

You can view and update your account and license details from your dashboard.
You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing support@learnpest.com. We honor deletion requests, except for completion records we are required to retain for state reporting and audit purposes.

Children

LearnPest is a professional licensing platform and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the new date at the top. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated policy.
