These terms govern your use of LearnPest, a platform providing state-approved continuing education for licensed pest control operators and applicators. By creating an account or purchasing a course, you agree to them.
The service
LearnPest offers continuing education courses approved by state regulatory agencies, individually and in bundles, plus tools for companies to manage their teams’ training. Courses follow the rules set by the approving agency — including minimum seat time, quizzes, and final exams — and those rules are enforced by the platform. When you complete a course, we issue a certificate and report the completion to the relevant state agency.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information, including your real name and your own license details.
- Accounts are personal. The person completing a course must be the licensee earning the credit — completing coursework on someone else’s behalf is fraud against your state licensing agency, and courses may require you to attest to this before starting.
- Keep your login to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
Purchases
- Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Company subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; à-la-carte course purchases are one-time.
- If something went wrong with a purchase, contact support@learnpest.com and we will make it right. Refunds are generally available for courses you have not started; completed courses that have been reported to a state agency cannot be refunded.
Continuing education credits
We report completions to state agencies and maintain the records they require, but your license compliance remains your responsibility: confirming that a course is approved for your specific license type and category, completing renewals on time, and meeting any requirements outside LearnPest. Credit acceptance is ultimately determined by the agency, not by us.
Course content
Course materials — text, video, audio, quizzes, and exams — belong to LearnPest or its licensors. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own continuing education. Copying, redistributing, or sharing course content or exam questions is not permitted.
Acceptable use
Don’t attempt to defeat seat-time tracking, share exam answers, misrepresent your identity, interfere with the platform’s operation, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and we are obligated to be honest with state agencies — records of fraudulent activity may be shared with them.
Disclaimers
The platform is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
