The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) oversees pesticide licensing and the Structural Pest Control Service (SPCS) regulates pest control businesses.
How much does a pest control license cost in Texas?
Business licenses are $300; Certified Applicator licenses are $125; Technician and Apprentice registrations are $125 each.
What is the deadline to renew my license?
December 31 of each year.
How many CEUs are required for renewal?
Private Applicators need 15 CEUs every 5 years; Structural Applicators need 3 CEUs annually (2 general + 1 per category).
What happens if my renewal is late?
Late fees range from 50% to 100% of the license cost, depending on how many days past due the renewal is.
